Avensys offers three RIBA & BIID approved CPD courses. You can enjoy the CPD courses in the comfort of our training suite and see first-hand what the course means in hands-on examples in our fully-integrated Smart Home.
CEDIA’s Designing Integrated Future-Ready Homes will help you understand the basics so that you can talk intelligently with the client and the other members of the design team. It will show you what is possible, describe some alternatives and explain how to incorporate the various systems without detracting from your design. You’ll have a good grasp of modern best practice for low-voltage systems in the home, and feel more confident specifying these systems. The CPD will help build your vocabulary and you should discover some simple tips to help you get it right. Most importantly you’ll know who to ask if you need help in a particular area.
CEDIA’s Smart Home Cabling Requirements for the Modern Home is designed to provide guidance for the installation of the ever growing cabling infrastructure in today’s modern home, including cabling requirements for home cinema, lighting, audio-visual services and security. The CPD identifies the key requirements for wiring a smart home installation and will help professionals understand a number of topics including, the cabling infrastructure needed to support technology in the home, the services and benefits available using cables, and the different grade of cables used for home technology.
Amina’s Understanding and Specifying Invisible Sound Solutions discusses not only how sound plays an important part in both residential and commercial interiors, but how invisible sound can allow a freedom of expression in design. Invisible speakers use VPT (Vibrational Panel Technology) to create high clarity room filling sound in a way that is analogous to how acoustical music instruments, such as a violin, create sound.
