Architects, surveyors, planning consultants and developers in the East Midlands are invited attend a series of seminars which will focus on residential developments.
Three events will take place throughout July at Nelsons Solicitors’ offices across the region in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. The interactive sessions will cover topics such as site set-up, Section 106 agreements and site acquisition.
Nelsons’ partner and commercial property specialist Martin Jinks said: “These seminars are always an informative occasion and they will be of particular interest to those already involved or contemplating becoming involved in residential developments.
“The events are aimed at planning consultants, developers, architects, surveyors, local authorities and agents. Attendees will be able to hear from a panel of experts and receive helpful information on a number of topics surrounding residential developments.”
A number of experts from Nelsons Solicitors will be speaking at the events, which will cover topics including the planning application and appeals process, promotion agreements, option agreements, overage and pre-site acquisition due diligence.
Discussion surrounding plot sales and Help to Buy, taking control of your contracts, conversions and the Bank Monitoring Surveyor role in relation to funding will also be covered.
Oliver Straw, associate director at global property and construction consultancy Gleeds, will also be speaking at the seminars sharing his experiences and providing his in-depth knowledge on the subject.
The seminars will take place in Sterne House, Lodge Lane, Derby, on Wednesday, 5 July; Stanford Street, Nottingham, on Tuesday, 11 July; and Provincial House, New Walk, Leicester, on Thursday, 13 July.
