Following the success of the 2014 edition, the Innovation Awards will return as part of this years’ theme of Future and will celebrate the most technologically advanced products yet.
In partnership with Blum, the Innovation Awards aim to discover a product, method or idea that will provide a new and interesting solution to kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, to help shape the future of the industry. Following an intensive judging process, three winners will be announced prior to kbb Birmingham, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 6th-9th March 2016.
The judging panel includes Jon Johnston, Director of kbb Birmingham; David Sanders, Director at Blum; Ruth Bell, Editor of Kitchens Bedrooms Bathrooms magazine; Renee Mascari, CEO of KBB National Training Group, amongst others.
The 2016 event will be easier than ever before for visitors to have their say and cast an innovative eye over exhibitor products; 10 exhibitors will be shortlisted for the visitor’s choice award, all of whom will be provided with a uniquely designed award to highlight their most innovative product at the show; visitors will be able to vote via the kbb app throughout the 4 days.
David Sanders at Blum, commented:
“Blum is a company that has innovation at its heart and it’s a completely natural connection for us to be involved with the KBB innovation award which is at the heart of the UK KBB industry”
Jon Johnston, Director of kbb Birmingham said:
“Our show offers an unrivalled platform for innovation and forward-thinking products in the industry. We’re glad to be working alongside Blum to reward creative thinking, as so many of our exhibitors promise to introduce products that push the market forward.”
New to the show is the kbb Arena, which will act as a networking hub for all visitors. As well as being able to listen and learn from key influencers, the arena will bring the industry together to further celebrate innovation across the show.
