Joinery manufacturers and fabricators looking for a low cost, aluminium clad timber window system, should visit the AluWood Windows stand, T438 at Timber Expo, part of UK Construction Week from 10-12 October.
AluWood’s aluminium clad timber window and door system is easy-to-manufacture and it offers the strength of aluminium on the outside and warmth of timber on the inside. The flush casement system can be top or side hung, as well as fully reversible. With the durability of aluminium on the outside and the insulating benefits of timber on the inside, the system is a very popular choice for self-builders and commercial projects such as hotels or offices.
Callum Grant, Commercial Director AluWood Windows Ltd, says:
“The aluminium clad timber window market is at £77 million, providing a fantastic opportunity. The AluWood window and door system is designed to cut investment costs for joinery manufacturers and fabricators. There is no extra cost for dual colour and we source materials in the UK, so there are no import costs.”
Performance tested to PAS24 and available in double or triple glazing, the aluminium finish can be sprayed with any RAL colour and the internal frame can be made using a number of hardwoods and softwoods.
“To attract self-builders, we’ve ticked the boxes for standout design, sustainability and safety. We have developed our system to make a statement on any home. Joinery manufacturers and fabricators can offer customers a window or door that meets their security and energy efficiency requirements.
“They can manufacture the AluWood aluminium clad timber system themselves or to make it even easier, buy it in ready-made.”
