TCPA welcomes The Farrell Review’s call for more proactive planning

The Town & Country Planning Association (TCPA) welcomes the Farrell Review’s recommendation that the planning system should be more proactive.

“Planning should be a creative, collaborative process that helps us create high quality places that will meet our future needs. The TCPA agrees with the Farrell Review that the new English planning system has become too reactive. Deregulation and cuts to resources mean that planners no longer have the capacity to think creatively about the future of our towns and cities,’ said Julia Thrift, Head of Projects and Events at the TCPA.”
