Portsmouth Gateway

The Gateway Project involves taking a co-ordinated approach to environmental improvements along the western corridor into the city, the 27/M275/Mile-End corridor. There are over 83,000 vehicle movements per day along this corridor, which carries people into the heart of the city as well as providing access for the 3 million passengers who use the Ferry-port every year. As the first and last part of Portsmouth many people see when travelling in or out of the city, whether for business or leisure, this area provides an important opportunity to raise Portsmouth’s profile and attract inward investment.
