AHR has been granted planning permission for Phase 2 of Bexhill Enterprise Park in Sussex, which will see the delivery of two further buildings totalling £9m: High Weald House and the provisionally titled Building 3.
Following the success of the park masterplan and the subsequent delivery of AHR’s Glovers House (and its sister project Pacific House in Eastbourne) – the second phase looks to continue the achievements of Sea Change Sussex’s flourishing enterprise park by providing high-quality office space to North East Bexhill.
Glovers House was fully let on completion, demonstrating the increasing demand for contemporary office space incorporating cost-effective design. Park Holidays UK, the largest operator of holiday parks in the south of England, occupy all available space, creating a new head office in the development.
The two new buildings will each deliver 25,600ft2 of net office space, providing flexible working areas that can be adapted for individual businesses. AHR’s design meets the needs of modern working practices, inspiring collaborative working through the inclusion of a shared atrium with communal catering facilities and breakout space.
Acting as the hub at the centre of the development’s pinwheel design, the atrium encourages interaction between tenants and promotes connectivity between the two facilities, which may be linked in the future. Natural daylight is maximised throughout the building to create a bright and inviting environment.
