Zip, the world leader in instant boiling water systems, has set new standards in the industry by becoming the first company within its sector to launch a fully populated Building Information Models (BIM) library for its WRAS approved HydroTap G4 product.
Designed to change how buildings, infrastructure and utilities are planned, designed, built, and managed, BIM files offer an intelligent model-based system to provide one master source of information to architects. This includes a building’s spatial dimensions, spatial relationships, light analysis, geographic information, quantities and properties of building components (for example, manufacturers’ details) and costs.
Developed in-house by Zip’s technical experts, the Zip BIM library comes to the market ahead of the UK government’s 2016 BIM mandate for centrally procured public sector construction projects.
Zip’s BIM files deliver a range of benefits to help Architects, Contractors and Facilities Managers speed up the design and management of buildings where HydroTaps are specified. This includes accurate detail module design, product technical data, links to installer guides, accurate power and water demand requirements. The technology also includes the ability to run a complete, electronic product schedule at the press of a button.
Paul Colebrook, National Sales Director at Zip commented:
“We are delighted to be launching our BIM library. Our fourth generation HydroTap continues to be at the forefront of technology and it is vital that we supply these products with the latest aftersales support.”
Developed for the company’s highly successful HydroTap product range the BIM library is available through the Zip website. For more information regarding the Zip Heaters’ product portfolio visit www.zipheaters.co.uk/downloads
