Capita Property and Infrastructure is set to deliver independent testing for six major school developments worth a combined £195 million.
The three year contracts will see Capita Property and Infrastructure assess every completion stage at each school to ensure that all phases are commissioned properly. This will significantly reduce compliance risk, improve the quality of construction and provide greater confidence in the overall programme for the following projects:
- The £135 million development of four new schools as part of the joint Ayrshire Schools programme – Ayr Academy, Dalbeattie Learning Campus, East Ayrshire Learning Campus and Largs Campus for hub South West
- The £60 million development of two schools in Scotland Oban High and Campbeltown Grammar for hub North Scotland
Peter McGettrick, divisional director of Capita Property and Infrastructure in Scotland and the North, said:
“We’ve been delivering independent testing for the past 15 years so our in-house multi-disciplinary team is very adept at providing a clear route to practical completion throughout the life of a project. We’re looking forward to being a part of these significant developments in Ayrshire and Scotland.”
