CEDIA announces 2014 awards scheme winners

CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) has revealed the winners of its ninth annual CEDIA Awards to an excited industry audience in the majestic surroundings of the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich on Friday 11th July.

More than 300 guests from the residential custom installation, interior design and architecture worlds attended this glittering occasion which celebrates design, installation and integration excellence in the home technology sector. The scheme attracted over 150 impressive entries from 16 different countries, all competing for the best media room, home cinema, integrated home, super yacht and other category prizes.

TV and radio comedian, Jon Culshaw, star of BBC’s Dead Ringers presented the prizes to winning schemes which embraced stunning Eco-Homes, Grade 1 historic houses, jaw-dropping home cinemas and sophisticated superyachts. Kris Hogg, Chairman of CEDIA Region 1 which covers the UK, Europe, Africa, the CIS, Middle East, India and Pakistan said:

“We could not have been more delighted with the exceptional quality of entries this year. All the projects which made the short-list demonstrated great integration at a system and design level as well as compliance with industry best practice, whilst the winners show an extra dimension in creativity, innovation and ‘WOW’ factor that really sets them apart. We would like to thank all companies who have taken the time and effort to enter the CEDIA Awards 2014, where, once again, the quality bar has been raised for the years ahead.”

The successful winners and highly commended projects have been captured in the CEDIA Awards 2014 yearbook. The yearbook celebrates the hard work and creativity put into every project with impressive imagery, project synopsis and kit lists included. The Awards yearbook is available to download from www.cediaawards.org and printed copies will also be available.
