Structural defects insurance provider CRL has become an associate member of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML).
CRL, which has eight offices throughout the UK and Ireland, elected to join the CML as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting good practice within the UK’s property sector.
In doing so CRL has become one of 90 associate members who collaborate, collect and share best practice on behalf of members with the organisations, government departments, and commentators who have an interest in the UK’s £1.3 trillion mortgage market.
Steve Mansour, CEO, CRL Management Limited, said:
“CRL elected to join the CML as an associate member as part of its commitment to supporting the property sector generally.
“We intend to be extremely active associate members as we recognise the good work that the CML do in bringing the industry together, specifically in their role acting as the voice of the mortgage industry in the UK.
“CRL is committed to working with mortgage lenders to ensure that the best possible structural insurance options are available to all residential mortgage customers in the UK – regardless of the lender they choose.
“Through the CML, and its lender members, CRL hopes to continue to promote the interests of its customers and we look forward to offering our complementary services to members and associate members alike.”
The CML is the main trade body representing UK mortgage lenders. Its members are banks, building societies, and other lenders who together account for around 95% of the nation’s residential lending.
Its role is to bring lenders together on matters of common interest, and to speak for the collective mortgage industry.
