A nationwide festival will celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of a prolific 18th century landscape architect, Lancelot “Capability” Brown.
Various special events, tours and activities will be hosted across Brown sites throughout the year in England and Wales.
The festival, which unites 20 partner organisations and is managed by the Landscape Institute, will include horse and carriage rides, cycling, boating and a moonlit walk in a number of locations.
The public will be allowed to gain access to some of the architect’s sites which had not been accessible before. Exclusive exhibitions will also be held across different parts of England.
