Istanbul restaurant gets urban, minimalist redesign

Istanbul restaurant Nupera, has received its latest design revamp at the hands of studio Ofist.

The dining place is located in Beyoglu, the bohemian part of Istanbul and faces the historical landmarks near the Galata Bridge.

Ofist explained:

“We had provided designs for Nupera on several occasions based on different themes and concepts. This time we decided to create something a bit controversial perhaps.”

The  restaurant was given a minimalist-style space with a block of concrete built next to a spacious table top on iron profile legs.

Two levels of plywood surfaces were designed to accommodate the guests. A street touch was added with the artist Efe Isildaksoy aka Rastarules’s works.
