Kajima Properties is pleased to announce that construction has formally commenced on its major new 84,000 sq ft office and retail development at 77 Coleman Street, London, EC2. VolkerFitzpatrick have been appointed as General Contractor and is scheduled to deliver the scheme by the end of next year.
Designed in collaboration with Buckley Gray Yeoman architects, the development will provide new, high quality office space in the heart of London, directly overlooking Coleman Street Gardens and less than a minute’s walk from the new Elizabeth Line station at Moorgate. The building, with offices arranged over ground and seven upper floors, will include 13,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, accessed off Moorgate, and a new pedestrian link connecting Coleman Street with Moorgate will be created by extending Nun Court, giving pedestrians a quick and bright route through a dense urban block in a popular part of London.
Situated in one of the most sought-after locations in the City, the offices will be accessed through a generous new entrance at 77 Coleman Street, including an integrated café and shared workspace. The development will also offer terraces on the upper floors, with impressive city views over the public realm and gardens, as well as 146 cycle spaces.
