Independent design, environment and sustainability consultancy, LDA Design, has recently completed its appointment for Lincolnshire Science and Innovation Park Ltd to produce a feasibility study and an initial masterplan for the Lincolnshire Science and Innovation Park (LSIP), situated close to Lincoln City Centre.
The development, led by the University of Lincoln and Lincolnshire Co-op will become home to some of the finest scientific minds and most innovative high-tech businesses in the UK. LSIP will offer world class laboratories and research facilities, bringing education and industry together on one site. It will also be a focal point for innovation and investment in science and technology across the region. The 80 hectare site is already home to the Think Tank and Joseph Banks Laboratories.
LDA Design is working closely with the Director of LSIP, the Lincolnshire Co-Op, the University of Lincoln and the City of Lincoln Council to develop its proposals. As part of the client’s brief, an innovative design drawing based on the city’s rich heritage is being developed in order to create an exemplary sustainable development.
Ashley Dunseath, Partner at LDA Design, said:
“Lincolnshire Science and Innovation Park will enjoy a close physical and intellectual link with the University of Lincoln. It will be focused around a series of shared, flexible spaces designed to create a sense of community where businesses, academics, students and residents can integrate and develop collaborative relationships.”
