Two revolutionary Skyfold, vertical-rising partitioning walls from Style, deliver outstanding functionality to the new London offices of leading law firm, Blake Morgan.
Working with architects, Roger Bannister Design, and Overbury as the contractor, Style further recommended combining their Skyfold units with two DORMA Moveo acoustic glass moveable wall systems. The resulting configuration allows numerous opportunities for different room sizes, directly meeting the client’s ever-changing requirements.
Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director says,
“Blake Morgan chose these moveable wall systems after coming to our London showroom, with the architect and contractor, to see these walls in action, appreciate the acoustic performance and discuss their requirements.”
Fully automatic, the Skyfolds descend from their housing in the ceiling cavity at the press of a button, rapidly transforming the floor space from an open-plan area into four smaller meeting rooms. The Moveo glass systems run the length of the room, creating a corridor when both are in place giving the law firm two very large meeting areas either side, each with pass door access.
Ensuring privacy even with large numbers of people, both moveable wall systems benefit from automatic seals, giving them outstanding acoustic integrity. Laboratory test results give Skyfold walls an exceptional 51dB Rw acoustic performance, whilst DORMA’s glazed system is rated at 50dB Rw.
“The Blake Morgan offices are a prime example of how moveable partitioning wall systems can be used innovatively to create incredible flexibility in the way office space is utilised.”
