Leading manufacturers, designers and emerging talent are being brought together to reveal their innovations at next month’s Surface & Materials Show, as design resource studio Material Lab uses its expertise to create a visual and tactile hub of surfacing trends.
Manufacturers including sponsors Johnson Tiles, Dulux Trade, Granorte and Jesmonite, plus key designers Giles Miller Studio, Daniel Heath, Evan James Design, Burel, Kit Miles, Smile Plastics and Solomon and Wu, will unveil their latest creations at Material Lab’s Central Hub at UK Construction Week’s NEC show (18-20 Oct).
Material Lab has also handpicked a selection of new and emerging talent to exhibit, including Isabel Webb, Apilada Vorchart, Rachel Howarth, Grace Gallagher, Studio IIio and Anni Tavener.
The Material Lab Central Hub will also host a series of live seminars and live making events, giving visitors a hands-on opportunity to explore and learn about the latest materials and surface innovations on display.
Jim Biddulph, Projects and Materials Manager at Material Lab, said:
“We’re dedicated to seeking out and supporting the latest surface material makers and manufacturers, so it’s exciting to be able to bring a selection of the very best innovators to a show that is equally as devoted. We hope visitors to our Hub will be inspired by what they learn and discover, taking some new ideas away with them for their future projects.”
The Surfaces & Materials Show is part of UK Construction Week and takes place 18-20 October 2016 at Birmingham’s NEC. Based in Hall 3, the Material Lab Central Hub will form the focal point of the three-day exhibition.
