Preliminary work has started on a Media Centre complex for Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
The facility was designed by multi-professional construction industry firm Pick Everard to meet requirements of the International Cricket Council, England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and its media partners in order to host major matches, including the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup.
The four-storey building will accommodate commercial offices, match control boxes, TV and radio studios and media rooms.
Paul Rothera director at Pick Everard said:
“We are thrilled to continue our strong links with Derbyshire County Cricket Club with this latest, exciting project.
“The state-of-the-art design will boost the visual appearance of the ground and we look forward to the progress of work and the project’s completion mid-2016.”
The Media Centre at The 3aaa County Ground will be delivered during the 2015/2016 closed season, due to complete in August 2016.
