Registration opens for South West’s biggest energy event

The countdown to Renewable Energy Marketplace, the largest energy event in the south west, has begun in earnest with online registration now open for the major exhibition, world-class multi-stream conference, electric vehicle showcase and a host of other features.

The event features over 100 leading exhibitors in dedicated zones on construction; landowners; and installers and attracts 1,500 delegates.

Merlin Hyman, Regen SW chief executive, said:

“since the launch of Renewable Energy Marketplace four years ago we have gone from 13,000 to approaching 100,000 renewable energy generators in the south west – the leading region in the country. REM 2014 is dedicated to making this remarkable growth just the start.”

Alongside the exhibition the event features a high level conference covering the latest details on RHI, CfDs, the Community Energy Strategy and more. A government roadshow on the new ‘Renewable Heat Incentive’ for householders who want to switch from oil to technologies like biomass and heat pumps.

New for this year – an electric vehicle showcase and test track – including the Tesla and BMW i3. The event, which is run by Regen SW, includes sponsors such as Lightsource Renewable Energy and Jinko Solar as well as partnerships with Mole Valley Farmers, Forestry Commission and Energy Saving Trust.
