Simple yet effective heating solutions with Single-Zone wireless controllers

Consort Claudgen, a company specialising in electric heating, have introduced an SL Wireless Control Heating System which provides building owners or operators a variety of heating control options through three different wireless controllers, all of which are designed with functionalities aimed at restricting excessive energy consumption and improving heating efficiency. The SLPB, SLVT and SLTI wireless controllers have easy-to-use control buttons, can set comfort and setback temperature settings and can be connected to one or multiple SL heaters in a room or area.

The SLPB, which has one control button, allows the heaters to operate only when the controller is activated. It has four status indicators and operating modes which are set prior to the controller’s installation. In Basic mode, the controller simply switches the heater on and off when the button is pressed. In Timer mode, it acts as a 4-stage run-back timer where the heating period will be active until the run-back timer expires. There is a choice of three time periods available: 5, 15 or 30 minutes. When the button is pressed four times, this takes the run-back time period to 20, 60 or 120 minutes. In Temperature Control mode, it features temperature control for comfort and setback periods which can also be used in conjunction with the Timer mode.

In addition to the SLPB functions and benefits, the SLVT offers an easy-to-read digital display to show the set temperature and temperature control buttons. Unlike the SLPB, occupiers can now adjust the room temperature to their comfort. However, they cannot increase the temperature beyond the maximum comfort temperature set by the building owners or operators. This feature can be essential for the latter wanting greater control over their heating system and costs whilst providing occupiers the flexibility to adjust the room temperature to their comfort.

The SLTI, on the other hand, features an electronic timer offering up to three heating periods per day, seven days a week. It is designed with four large control buttons with audible and tactile feedback and an electronic lock to prevent tampering with the controls. There are four operating modes including a 15-minute Boost with temperature control to provide the maximum comfort quickly. It has a frost protection setting and can set comfort and setback temperatures.

All three controllers will fit onto any standard one gang back box and are mains 240V or 12VDC powered. They are also simple to install and easy to set up. With three controllers to choose from, the SL heating system provides the perfect opportunity to create an ideal heating system that is efficient, simple to operate and provides a better heating control and costs.
