For convenience, SureSet offer the StepRise in both Supply and Lay (they install for you) and Supply Only (for you to install yourself) options. Here’s case studies for both options:
A recent Supply and Lay SureSet project was for Cranborne Middle School; who like many other schools took advantage of the recent long summer holiday to carry out some repair and maintenance work. This included updating the tired looking entrance to the school which was not creating a very good first impression for the 50-year old Dorset school.
SureSet transformed the main entrance by applying resin bound StepRisers to the rise of the steps and laying seamless SureSet resin bound paving on the step treads and landing area. What once was a sad looking area with broken and mismatched paving slabs, is now a superb looking, smooth, durable and low-maintenance surface.
A recent Supply Only project was for their Approved Installer Spadeoak who had been contracted for a project at the new Founder’s Library at the Royal Holloway University, which included steps, footpaths and wall seats totalling 2,100m².
The SureSet permeable blends of Norwegian Pearl and Barley Beach natural aggregate were specified to complement the colours and architecture of the Grade I listed building and Spadeoak’s client is absolutely delighted with the completed installation.
The wall seats are a particularly interesting use of SureSet resin bound paving, which was used to fill bespoke metal trays which were laid on top of a low wall, creating a dry place for students to sit.
