Tensar International, a global leader in providing value-engineered solutions to stabilise and reinforce soil and pavements, has today announced the appointment of Tim Oliver as its new Vice President for Global Technology.
Having spent more than 30 years with Tensar, Tim has held various roles – developing his managerial and business acumen alongside his technical expertise.
While Tim’s tenure with Tensar has more recently seen him work from the company’s UK headquarters in Blackburn, Lancashire, Tim has also undertaken a two year assignment as Vice President of Global Marketing based at Tensar’s Atlanta office in the United States.
Speaking of his appointment, Tim said:
“I’m delighted to accept the role as Vice President for Global Technology. Tensar has a rich heritage of innovation, and I am very much looking forward to applying my combined commercial and engineering experience to our Global Technology offering to ensure that effective and efficient technology-based solutions continue to drive our business forward to even greater successes.
“In order to meet the needs of our customers across a variety of diverse sectors, Tensar invests heavily in research, development, engineering and manufacturing. I believe that the business is well placed to continue to lead the market by applying our specialist knowledge with respect to our products and systems. I would like to thank my colleagues at Tensar for their support and look forward to continuing to drive the business forward as part of a great team that delivers great value to our global customers”
Tim’s role will begin immediately, having already completed a successful handover of duties with previous incumbent Ian Fraser. Ian has left the business in order to pursue career opportunities outside of Tensar after contributing greatly to the many recent successes of the company.
