The Green Deal closure opens new doors

Following the sudden closure of the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund on 24th July, leaving homeowners angry and confused, period window specialists, Ventrolla are here to offer a helping hand.

The Green Deal, a scheme that allows households to benefit from energy-efficient improvements, re-opened in June this year and offered individual households up to £7,600 to install measures such as solid wall insulation and double glazing.

The government claims that the lack of notice on closure was due to “overwhelming popular demand”. However thousands who paid for a Green Deal assessment will now lose out after not registering in time, prompting a formal investigation.

David Greaves, Managing Director of Ventrolla, said:

“This news is troubling as the Green Deal’s original aims to help bring properties up to scratch with energy saving improvements and reduce carbon emissions were admirable.”

“Unfortunately the government does not seem to have hit the mark this time and many people will be left out of pocket. Fortunately though, our nationwide network of offices is on hand to provide help and guidance to those affected.”

“Our energy saving range includes double glazing solutions, as well as draught-proofing using and the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS), which improves a window’s energy rating by up to 30%, reducing energy bills and eradicating draughts and rattles.”

“It is a shame that the Green Deal has not provided the assurance that was originally expected. However we would like to offer reassurance to our customers that there are products on the market in line with the Green Deal aims and that we are available for guidance and advice on 0800 0277 454 or”
