tp bennett announces record growth

Award-winning international design practice, tp bennett has reported a record turnover of £29.7 million and an 3% increase in profit in its financial year ending March 2018. This follows a period of strong growth, strategic appointments to its board and significant investment in its people and new technologies.

In September 2017, the practice appointed Liz Catchpole as non-executive chairman to contribute to the development of the business. It also promoted David Blair, Leigh Dimelow and Nick Hirst as Principal Directors, who joined the board to create further opportunities for the firm.

Providing architecture, interiors and town planning, tp bennett has increased its portfolio in its key sectors of residential and residential-led mixed-use development; whilst continuing its success in interior fit out, commercial offices, student accommodation, hotels and retail-led mixed-use. It has broadened its geographical reach across the UK, with its Manchester office hitting £1 million turnover.

Notable projects that have contributed to its success include the BCO award-winning Porter Building and Bourne Business Park as well as the 1,200-student bedroom scheme, Garden Halls in Bloomsbury. Work for corporate occupiers also remains strong with completed projects for CBRE in Manchester and TfL in London, which recently won the Mixology Public Sector Project of the Year. Projects have also completed for Investec and DLA Piper and are underway for major technology companies across Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Yvette Hanson, Principal Director at tp bennett said:

“We have experienced a period of growth, thanks to a dedicated and highly skilled team, and are now in a strong and stable position for the future. We have and continue to work on world-class projects and our integration of new technologies such as BIM, Virtual Reality and 3D printing will only enhance our capabilities further, driving efficiency, sustainability and the highest quality design – all of which are at the heart of our philosophy.”
