400 South Oak Way

Increasing demand for Grade A office space in the Thames Valley region has seen Reading-based office fit out specialist ISG secure its latest win at Green Park – taking a £7.9 million project to modernise an existing five-storey office building.

Following the company’s successful transformation of 450 South Oak Way, which is now occupied by PepsiCo, ISG has been awarded the contract to modernise 400 South Oak Way. Originally constructed in 2002, ISG will refurbish the circa 102,000 sq ft building from its current shell and core state, delivering high-specification, BREEAM Excellent office accommodation. Green Park in Reading, owned and managed by Oxford Properties, is 195 acres of stunning parkland and home to more than 50 businesses.

In addition to a comprehensive mechanical and electrical services infrastructure upgrade, ISG will update five lift lobbies and modernise the building’s atrium – replacing finishes to create a stunning reception area. Externally, photovoltaic panels will be installed and extensive hard and soft landscaping works undertaken, with cycle paths and cycle storage added, along with additional parking and improved external lighting.
