The development of Amazon’s first fulfilment centre in Poland by Goodman will have a footprint of approx. 95,000 sqm and will be the largest free standing logistics facility in Poland. Construction of the facility commenced in October 2013 and it is planned that the fulfilment centre will be fully operational in the second half of 2014.

Amazon plans to create up to 2,000 long-term jobs at the warehouse in Wroclaw, plus an additional 3,000 seasonal jobs in order to cover peak times during the holiday season.

A centre is also in development in Poznan by Panattoni. The facility will take up more than 100,543 sqm, of which as much as 91,570 sqm constitute warehouse space and will employ 2,000 – 3,000 people. Office and staff facilities have been planned on two storeys taking up 8,972 sqm, and the facility will feature 2,154 car parking spaces, 97 truck spaces, 32 handicapped spaces, 16 motorcycle spaces, and 60 reloading docks.
