Leicestershire-based architectural practice delivering design and technical services for one of the Midlands’ largest new logistics developments
IMA Architects is the architect behind WestWorks Corby, a major new logistics and industrial development in Northamptonshire being brought forward by the real estate development arm of a global logistics group. The practice has been involved since outline planning stage.
The 55-acre site, situated on Weldon Road on the western edge of Corby, forms one of the largest employment-led regeneration projects in the region. WestWorks Corby will deliver circa two million sq. ft of sustainable industrial and logistics space across multiple units, designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality, flexible warehousing in the Midlands.
The first phase of the development comprises two buildings, a 500,000 sq. ft unit and a 300,000 sq. ft unit, with a further phase of circa one million sq. ft to follow. The 300,000 sq. ft unit has been prelet, while the 500,000 sq. ft unit is being developed speculatively and is available to occupiers. The first units are targeted for completion in Q2 2027.
IMA Architects is leading on the architectural design of the scheme and acting as Principal Designer, working alongside a multidisciplinary project team that includes Fairhurst, MBA Consulting Engineers Ltd, KAM Project Consultants, Wakemans Limited, Quod, SAJ Transport Consultants and Savills.

The site also benefits from a 20 MVA power supply, a significant draw for occupiers with high energy requirements.
