The German hardware manufacturer has developed its trusted, high performing PORTAL HS range to enable an extra 100kg load capacity; meaning your clients can achieve even larger glazed areas without scrimping on performance.
The new PORTAL HS 500 gives planners and installers even more freedom to implement individual customer requests and achieve high-end looks with larger sliding doors with more glass. Building on the PORTAL HS 400kg compact portfolio, the PORTAL HS 500 makes it possible to realise elements from every frame material with a load capacity of up to 500kg. To do this it supplements the time-proven hardware with additional HS 400 compact M bogie wheels and a new comfort gear with helper spring. As a result, you can realise designs for extremely large apertures that let in lots of light and blur the lines between the inside and outside, while fabricator and installer partners can implement this using a system and a technology that they are familiar with, with just a few simple additions.
And the grander design that comes with the increased load capacity of the system does not impair its performance, as the new, improved system can be used on total door widths up to 19.8m and weights up to 500kg while still maintaining the highest durability class H3 (EN 13126) at 20,000 cycles. Accessibility remains a key feature of the expanded lift and slide system as well. The proven combination with the ECO PASS threshold ensures level access to the exterior.
The PORTAL HS 500 is especially suited for timber and timber-aluminium profile systems with a 30mm groove that are compatible with the HS 400 compact bogie wheels from SIEGENIA. However, in coordination with the profile system house, use in elements with different frame materials, or elements with a 42mm groove is also possible with the use of distance pieces.
