Armatherm™ UK announces launch of a brand new product to their already extensive range.

Global leaders in thermal break solutions, Armatherm™ UK has launched a thermally isolated compression sleeve to reduce thermal bridging at façade, rainscreen and cladding fixings.

Manufactured from a high-performance composite ceramic material, the new compression sleeve product provides exceptional compressive strength, fire resistance and thermal isolation in applications where continuous insulation is disrupted by screw fixings. More specifically, the compression sleeve features low water absorption (0.48%) which makes it ideal for external elements like rainscreens, façades and cladding systems where they face varying weather conditions.

Furthermore, designed to combat thermal bridging and heat loss, the new compressive sleeve product features a robust composition that makes it suitable for load-bearing applications. Sleeves can also be supplied in custom-cut lengths to match insulation thickness and project requirements.

Paul Beech, General Manager of Armatherm™ UK, commented

“As an industry we’ve been making strides towards combatting thermal bridging, especially in the race to net zero, however there is still progress to be made. Our new product, the compression sleeve is a great addition to our existing range, offering architects, developers and specifiers more flexibility and options when working towards energy-efficient buildings.”

Without addressing thermal bridging where these features are fixated, heat loss can still occur, causing structural damage, risk to occupants health via mould growth and lack of thermal performance. Implementing solutions like the compression sleeve or alternative thermal break products can significantly reduce these risks and support in reaching sustainability and energy efficiency goals.
