Our column casings have been part of the UK Boxings’ range for more than 10 years, and can be specified in four different material options, as well as an array of finishes.
In addition to circular and square casings, which are manufactured from UKTR compliant MDF and plywood, respectively, the range also includes aluminium, glass reinforced plastic (GRP) and glass reinforced gypsum (GRG) options.
While the MDF, plywood and GRG casings are designed for use on interior projects only, our aluminium and GRP options can be specified on both interior and exterior projects, as they are inherently corrosion and weather resistant.
An exceptionally diverse range of finishes is available, which includes PPC coatings in BS and RAL colours, as well as textured and embossed surfaces for the metal products, while RAL and BS colour gel-coats can also be specified for our GRP column casings. Both the metal and GRP casings are bespoke manufactured to the specific project dimensions to ensure a high standard of fit and finish on site.
Durable high pressure laminate (HPL) materials can be specified for the MDF and plywood casings and both types are also available with an unfinished, plain surface for on-site decoration.
GRG casings are also usually supplied unfinished, for on-site decoration, and as they are produced using moulds, they can be manufactured to meet any individual project requirements or dimensions. The choice of finish will be partly dependent on the casings’ location and chosen material, which must be considered when specifying and ordering.
