Salone’s Top 15 Trends

INVISTA Antron® carpet fibre has revealed the top 15 trends and colours of the year; presenting inspiration from its discoveries at Milan’s famed Salone del Mobile.Milano and Fuorisalone design events.

In ‘Top15 Trends & Colors 2019’, now available for download from its website,, Antron® carpet fibre presents colour palettes inspired by the diverse range of exhibits and installations encountered at the events. With themes such as light, nature, global craft heritage, sanctuary and respite, tribal design and the glitz and glam of the 80s revival; the resource is a fascinating insight into the future direction of interiors.

Heike Schmidt, INVISTA Antron® carpet fibre, explains the concept behind the resource: “There is no doubt that for one week a year Milan becomes the centre of the world for furniture, interior and spatial design. Every April the city is the perfect place to discover the forward-thinking approaches that are shaping our relationships with everyday environments. Of course, with its known impact on our perception of a space and how that space makes us feel, colour is a key element of these relationships and so we wanted to explore this connection through the palettes available in our Antron® LumenaTM carpet fibre.”

Working with trend forecaster Anne Marie Commandeur of Stijlinstituut Amsterdam, a leading design, fashions and material agency; Antron® carpet fibre presents an impressively eclectic collection of inspirational palettes. From the glamourous golds and hot fuchsia of Eighties Glam Revival and the chromatic tones of Tribal Black&White, to the raw palette of Ground and the aqua, pink and green of The Plastic Issue; ‘Top15 Trends & Colors 2019’ is ready to inspire a new wave of design in commercial carpet.

With colour impacting every aspect of commercial interiors, the openly available ‘Top15 Trends & Colors 2019’ will also prove a useful tool for interior designers looking to future proof their projects with colours and palettes resulting from the world’s largest interior design and furniture fair.
