Premier Loft Ladders are now able to offer a sloped roof access hatch with retractable ladder. The highly insulated roof hatch can be installed on a roof pitch between 0 and 45 degrees. It is designed to withstand the wind and weather and provides excellent thermal efficiency, with a U-value of 0.37 W/m2K. In addition, it offers an airtight seal (certified to air permeability Class 4).
The roof hatch comes with the ‘Supreme’ heavy duty retractable ladder pre-assembled within the hatch box. The high-strength ladder is counter-balanced for ease-of-use and safe operation. The adjus
table angle of the ladder treads mean that they remain flat, regardless of the pitch of the roof. Furthermore, the retractable ladder is stowed out of sight above an airtight and insulated lower hatch when not needed.
Additional treads and grabrail (where space permits) are fitted above the retractable ladder to make the climb to the roof above as easy as possible.
For more demanding projects, the roof hatch is also available with a fire-rated steel lower hatch. This offers up to 90-minutes of fire protection and is available for a roof pitch between 0 – 20 degrees.
A wide range of other options and accessories are available for the sloped roof access hatch. For example, where you need to prevent unauthorised access to the roof, then the lower and/or upper hatches can be fitted with security locks. These can be pre-fitted with a Euro-profile cylinder, or you can fit your own cylinder (particularly useful if the building has a keyed-alike strategy). Furthermore, you could have the hatches modified for operation from above, allowing a secondary means of escape from the roof in the event of an emergency.
All roof hatches from Premier Loft Ladders are manufactured to order. As such they can be offered made-to-measure to suit a wide range of requirements; for ceiling heights up to 4.6m.
