URSA is also dedicated to helping developers get the best from its products – as seen in the Silk District scheme in Whitechapel, London. Comprising of three residential blocks around a piazza, the project involved 25,000m² of URSA’s products including URSA WALLTEC BLACK 32. URSA worked with developers Mount Anvil, providing advice and guidance on materials and compliance, as well as thermal models, U-value calculations and associated condensation risk analysis. In the UK, URSA is dedicated to insulation for rainscreen cladding systems, designed to protect buildings whilst offering design flexibility. In fact, URSA WALLTEC BLACK 32 and URSAPAN BLACK are the ONLY glass mineral wool insulation products approved by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) for use as sheathing insulation in rainscreen cladding façade systems.
