Drop-in for Terrazzo Making During Clerkenwell Design Trail

Throughout Clerkenwell Design Trail (Wednesday 4th – Thursday 5th October), Parkside Architectural Tiles is teaming up with the makers of Ethical Stone Terrazzo for drop-in terrazzo making sessions.

Ethical Stone Terrazzo is a 100% British made terrazzo tile that uses stones from the British Isles and a low carbon cement alternative for a tile that’s local and low impact. As part of Clerkenwell Design Trail, Parkside is inviting people into its Sekforde Street studio to try their hand at making their very own terrazzo tile using the same British Isles stones and reclaimed Manchester red brick. The drop-in sessions kick off from 12.15pm and run until 4.15pm over both days.

The origin of every Ethical Stone tile can be traced to the British Isles, so you’ll be able to experiment with marble from the Isle of Skye, pink limestone from Devon, black Welsh slate, Derbyshire limestone and Manchester’s famous red brick. There’ll also be a chance to learn about Ethical Stone Terrazzo from its makers and to enjoy some creativity-inducing refreshments.

Register interest in the workshop sessions by signing up for Wednesday and Thursday and drop-in anytime, or by visiting the official Clerkenwell Design Trail website.
